12 hour Health Care Aide in Calgary

We’re seeking *HCAs* who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to making a difference. This is a 12 hour long shift Monday to Sunday on an ongoing basis.

What We’re Looking For

* Health Care Aide Certificate (or equivalent recognized in Alberta)(foreign-trained nurse or nursing student may qualify)
* Active Alberta HCA Directory number
* Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months)
* Proof of negative TB test
* CPR & First Aid Certification
* Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license
* Strong communication skills (English required; additional languages an asset)
* Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg)
* Access to mobile phone and internet
* Strong verbal and written English; an asset
* Compassion, reliability, and professionalism under pressure

Your Role With Clients

* Provide personal care and hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing)
* Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises
* Support with meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship
* Document and report changes in condition
* Promote safety, independence, and dignity at all times
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Medication assistance and reminders
* Accompany clients on outings, errands, or appointments
* Follow care plans, document, and report changes
