Branch Technology Coordinator
Andrew Sheret Limited · Calgary, AB T2G 5M3 · posted 6 Nov 2026
Pay: $65,000–$75,000 a year
We are seeking a highly organized, technically literate *Branch Technology Coordinator* to bring structure, accountability and steady improvement to the technology that supports our branches and showrooms.
In this varied role, you will take ownership of the connected systems our branches rely on every day, including printers and MFPs, security cameras and NVRs, showroom audio and marketing displays. You will turn loosely organized operational work into dependable, well-documented service, coordinate the vendors who support it, and provide flexible administrative support within IT Operations and across the business.
This is not a traditional help desk, systems administration or procurement role. Success comes from clear accountability, accurate records, practical standards, lifecycle discipline and reliable follow-through, working alongside technical colleagues, peers across the business and external specialists.
*Who We Are*
Since 1892, Andrew Sheret Limited has grown into one of Western Canada’s leading distributors of plumbing, heating and HVAC supplies, serving trade professionals and homeowners across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. We remain proudly employee and family-owned. As Branch Technology Coordinator, you will join a team of professionals who support and advance the technology across our branches, showrooms and offices, and make a meaningful contribution while enjoying a strong culture and a sustainable work-life balance.
*Why Join Us*
We understand that technology not only makes our company more efficient but also helps us delight our customers. As a result, Andrew Sheret Limited has a long history of developing innovative, industry-leading IT solutions.
You will join a team that plans carefully, keeps its commitments and takes pride in continually improving both how we work and what we deliver.
At Andrew Sheret Limited, you will have the opportunity to:
* Collaborate with intelligent, engaged technical peers who take pride in their work
* Work with a focused portfolio of systems and see the impact of your decisions and efforts across every branch
* Turn loosely defined needs into clear plans, and see those plans through to delivery
* Work alongside vendors and contractors, and hold that work to a high standard
* Build your career by expanding your skills across project delivery, vendor management and a wide range of technologies, with support from experienced colleagues
We expect a high level of contribution, and in return provide the context, support, and environment required to do that work well.
*What We Offer*
What really makes Andrew Sheret a great place to work is the friendly, supportive team of people that you get to work with every day. We also offer everyone on our team an excellent compensation package including:
* A competitive salary of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience
* Excellent extended health and dental plans for you and your family
* A matching program for your RRSP to help you grow your financial well-being
* An annual performance bonus
* An employee share program that rewards you when you reach key anniversaries
* Assistance with tuition or skills training relevant to your role
*What You Will Achieve*
Based in Calgary as part of our head office IT Operations team, you will be accountable for the following outcomes and the work that delivers them:
* Keep branch printers and MFPs, security cameras and NVRs, showroom audio, marketing displays and other connected systems dependable throughout their lifecycle by maintaining accurate inventories, standards, configuration records, warranty information and lifecycle plans
* Minimize disruption to branches when these systems fail by acting as the point of coordination and escalation, performing first-level diagnosis and directing issues to the right colleague or vendor
* Establish clear ownership and dependable service where documentation or accountability has been inconsistent by building records, priorities, repeatable practices, escalation paths and improvement plans
* Ensure shared infrastructure keeps pace with branch needs by working with platform, storage and systems administration colleagues on NVR capacity, deployments and related work
* Turn business needs into well-scoped, achievable work by gathering and clarifying requirements and preparing plans, statements of work, competitive bid summaries, process documentation, checklists and help desk guidance
* Ensure vendor and contractor work is delivered on time and to standard by initiating requests, tracking progress, validating deliverables against agreed acceptance criteria, and completing sign-off, close-out, warranty and service records
* Deliver visible improvements across your technology portfolio by leading small, well-defined initiatives, and support the company’s growth by contributing to branch openings, renovations and upgrades
* Keep IT Operations organized and its commitments on track by coordinating schedules, meetings, communications, logistics, action lists, document libraries and routine reporting, and by administering purchase requests, renewals and other repeatable team processes
* Extend that same reliability to our training department when needed by supporting scheduling, communications, logistics, tracking, record-keeping and document control
* Free up time for higher-value work by identifying repetitive administrative tasks and finding practical ways to simplify, standardize or automate them
Some of the systems you inherit will be well documented; others will need investigation and a plan. Either way, the breadth of the role offers a varied and engaging mix of technical, organizational and interpersonal challenges, and the chance to leave a lasting mark on how our branches are supported.
*How We Work Together*
Work is structured around clear objectives and priorities, and scoped so that complexity is addressed thoughtfully rather than deferred. We use established practices and standards wherever they fit; where they do not yet exist, you will help develop them deliberately and with input from others.
You will sometimes need to work through ambiguity, but never in isolation: experienced peers and leadership support are readily available. We value solving problems properly rather than working around them, and communicating clearly with colleagues, vendors and branch staff.
*Who You Are*
You enjoy bringing structure to complex work and take satisfaction in seeing it through to completion.
The work can be demanding. We do not expect perfection; we do expect engagement, curiosity, follow-through and a willingness to work through complex problems while staying attentive to the business needs and trade-offs behind each task.
This role suits someone equally at ease with technical peers, vendors and business stakeholders, who wants to keep deepening their technical and project-delivery capabilities as their career grows.
*What You Bring*
* Three or more years of experience in technical coordination, service coordination, project administration, vendor coordination or a similar operational role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* A track record of owning recurring services, equipment, records, work orders or operational processes and improving their organization and reliability
* Experience coordinating vendors, contractors or field technicians and following work through to completion
* Ability to clarify a need and document it as a practical scope, checklist, acceptance criteria, work instruction or process guide
* Working technical literacy with network-connected equipment, including IP networking fundamentals such as addressing, VLANs and PoE
* Exceptional organization, prioritization, record-keeping and follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams
* Clear, confident written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
*What Sets You Apart*
* Experience with security camera and VMS/NVR platforms (such as Milestone, Genetec or Avigilon), enterprise print management, or commercial audio-visual and digital signage systems
* Experience in field service coordination, or in multi-site retail, wholesale, distribution, construction, renovation or facilities-service environments
* Experience with quotations, purchase orders, warranties, contracts and scopes of work
* Experience with Jira or a similar work-management platform
* A valid driver’s license for occasional travel to branch locations
*How to Apply*
Along with your resume and as part of your cover letter, please include a brief response (500 words or fewer) describing one specific project or vendor engagement you’ve personally helped deliver. Bullet points are welcome. Please explain:
* What the work was and why it stands out as significant
* What was unclear, fragmented or at risk when you became involved
* How you established requirements, ownership, records, priorities or a plan
* How you tracked progress and confirmed the outcome met the need
* What you’d do differently now, if anything
We are most interested in specificity, judgement and accountability rather than polished writing. Where appropriate, please connect your example to the relevant experience on your resume. We understand the need to omit or modify identifying, confidential or proprietary details.
We thank all applicants for their interest. Only applicants currently located in Alberta, Canada will be considered, and only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
