Senior Site Superintendent
Eagle Crest Construction · Calgary, AB · posted 8 Nov 2026
Pay: $115,000–$140,000 a year
About Eagle Crest Construction
Eagle Crest Construction is a Calgary-based developer and builder. We develop, build, and hold our own multi-family residential projects across Calgary — we are the owner, not a contractor building for someone else. That means our superintendents build for the long term: quality decisions are made in-house, the pipeline is our own land and projects, and the buildings you finish are assets we keep and manage.
With multiple projects under construction and more in the pipeline — wood-frame and concrete multi-family buildings, parkades, and mixed-use components — we are looking for a Senior Site Superintendent to take full ownership of a major project site from mobilization through turnover.
The Role
As Senior Site Superintendent, you are the senior leader on site and the owner's representative in the field. You will run day-to-day site operations on a multi-family project, coordinating our own crews, sub-trades, consultants, and suppliers to deliver the project safely, on schedule, and to the standard an owner expects of a building they will own for decades. You will work directly with our Project Managers and ownership — no layers, no bidding treadmill.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization to turnover: site setup, excavation, parkade and structure, envelope, interiors, and finishing
- Build and maintain the site schedule; run weekly trade and foreman meetings; drive short-term look-ahead planning and hold trades accountable to milestones
- Coordinate sub-trades, suppliers, consultants, and City inspections; chair site meetings and resolve field issues as they arise
- Own quality control: review drawings and specifications, run QA/QC checklists at each stage, manage deficiencies through to completion, and prepare units/buildings for inspection and occupancy
- Enforce the company safety program and Alberta OH&S requirements; lead orientations, inspections, and incident reporting
- Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, and deliveries; maintain daily site reports and photo documentation
- Flag drawing conflicts, RFIs, and site instructions early, working with the Project Manager to keep cost and schedule protected
- Lead turnover: occupancy readiness, commissioning support, deficiency close-out, and handover to property management
- Mentor assistant superintendents, foremen, and site staff
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive construction experience, including 5+ years as a Site Superintendent on multi-family residential projects
- Proven delivery of 4–6 storey wood-frame multi-family buildings; concrete parkade and/or concrete structure experience strongly preferred
- Experience working for a developer/builder or owner-side organization is an asset — you think like an owner about quality, cost, and long-term performance
- Strong knowledge of the Alberta Building Code, construction methods, and OH&S legislation
- Journeyman carpentry ticket, Gold Seal Certification, or a diploma/degree in Construction Management is an asset
- Comfortable with construction software and reporting (Procore or similar, MS Project/scheduling tools, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office/Teams)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong leadership and communication skills; direct, organized, and accountable
What We Offer
- Salary $115,000–$140,000 per year, commensurate with experience
- Project bonus
- Vehicle allowance and phone allowance
- Health and dental benefits
- A stable, multi-year pipeline of our own projects in Calgary — no layoffs between contracts, no out-of-town rotations
- Direct access to ownership and project leadership; decisions get made fast
We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
