The Canadian institution plays Grey Eagle Event Centre on Tuesday the 4th — a reliable, comfortable room for exactly this kind of show. The same evening, Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium hosts "Thee Sacred Souls & The Womack Sisters ", a pairing that promises old-soul R&B in one of the city's finest venues. Book both nights and you'll have done yourself a favour.
For something considerably louder, Tuesday also brings "KATAKLYSM & SIX FEET UNDER w/ WORMHOLE & SNAKEPIT " to The Arrowhead at 6 pm. Death metal at its most committed — if that's your thing, you already know to go.
Back on Monday, the "5TH ANNUAL INCREDIBLE INDIA FEST" runs from noon at The Westin Calgary Airport, offering food, culture and community on a scale that's grown noticeably since it started. Also worth knowing about if you have kids: "Wildlife Park for Kids" at CF Market Mall runs at 11:30 am — low-lift, free from the chaos of the long weekend just passed.
If you'd rather make something with your hands, Raw Canvas has a full slate. The "Calgary's Paint & Sip Experience at Raw Canvas: Level 1 - Easy" runs Monday evening at 6:30 pm, and returns Tuesday as the discounted "Calgary's Paint & Sip Experience at Raw Canvas: $25 Tuesday, Level 1". There's also the "Copy of Calgary Stampede Special: Design Your Own Cowboy Hat ↗" on Monday afternoon — a post-Stampede activity that makes more sense than it sounds.
