This is a sales job. Dominion's Calgary team sells residential solar to homeowners in person, face to face, and every rep earns on what they close. Each of our current leaders started out selling on this team.
FIRST, THE BASICS: CALGARY, FULL-TIME, IN PERSON
It's a full-time position based in Calgary, and most of your hours are spent sitting with homeowners.
- You live in or around Calgary now, or you'll have moved here by your first day
- You're legally allowed to work in Canada. We don't sponsor work permits or handle immigration
THE SALES JOB
We give you a Calgary territory plus the pitch and lead-tracking system the team already uses. After that, the job is selling. Most of it is sitting down with homeowners and working through their objections until they're ready to sign. You don't need a technical background, because our design and install teams take care of the engineering. You earn a commission on every residential solar installation you sell, paid weekly with no ceiling. There is no fixed base salary; your earnings depend entirely on your sales results. Reps who hit their targets consistently tend to land between CA$80,000 and CA$100,000 over a year, and our top closers clear that.
HOW THE WEEK RUNS
Mornings are sales training with the team, mostly pitch practice and objection drills. Afternoons and evenings you're out selling, since that's when homeowners are home. A mentor works alongside you and your numbers sit next to theirs on the leaderboard. Through the year we run sales competitions against our Edmonton office, plus incentive trips for the top performers.
WHO DOES WELL HERE
People who like to win and keep score on themselves. You can hear a no and walk into the next pitch with the same energy. You want your income tied directly to what you sell. Prior sales experience is a bonus, and plenty of our best reps had none on day one. We hire for hunger and coachability and train the rest. Anyone looking for an easy ride should keep scrolling.

Five rungs: Rep, Team Lead, Assistant Manager, Sales Manager, Regional Manager. Each one has written targets. Hit them and you're promoted, whether you joined last quarter or years ago.
