Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice

*Now Hiring: 1st or 2nd Year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice*
*Full-Time Position*

*Fortified Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd* is seeking a motivated *1st or 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice* looking to begin or continue their career in the heavy equipment mechanic trade. Preference will be given to candidates who hold an *Automotive Journeyman Certificate* and/or *Welding Journeyman Certificate*.

We are a fast-paced repair facility specializing in all makes and models, located in *Shepard Industrial Park in Calgary’s SE*.

*Responsibilities:*

* Assisting journeymen and apprentices with mechanical repairs
* Performing basic mechanical repairs and services
* General shop cleaning and maintenance
* Organizing and maintaining inventory

*Qualifications:*

* Clean driving record (required)
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must pass a drug & alcohol test upon hiring
* Shop or mechanical experience is an asset
* Must provide own tools and tool box

*Job Requirements:*

* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Must have reliable transportation (no public transportation available in the industrial park)
* Ability to lift a minimum of 49 lbs
* Previous mechanic shop experience
