Begonia, SUE at Spark and a Noon Show at Contemporary Calgary
What else is on this week
All Calgary events →A quiet Wednesday, a gallery lunch, a dinosaur on a weekday morning, and Begonia at Commonwealth on Thursday night.
Wednesday's quiet, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's 0.1° and clear right now, climbing to 7.5° this afternoon before dropping below zero tonight. Nothing's listed this evening that I'd cancel takeout for.
Use the daylight instead. "Ghazaleh Avarzamani: Churn, Earn, Burn and then Return ↗" opens at noon at Contemporary Calgary today and again Thursday, and a weekday lunch hour is when a gallery feels like yours. Take a long one.
Over at TELUS Spark , "SUE: THE T.REX EXPERIENCE ↗" runs from 9 am both days. If you don't have kids, this is your window. Saturday mornings there belong to strollers.
Thursday is the night to leave the house. "Begonia - The Fantasy Life Tour ↗" is at Commonwealth Bar with a 6 pm listing, so plan on eating after, not before. An early start on a school night is the only kind I want midweek.
If you'd rather drive, the "Millarville Christmas Market ↗" opens Thursday and runs through Sunday. Thursday's supposed to hit 10.6° under cloud, which makes it the day to go, before the weekend crowd figures out the same thing.
And if your phone's still fighting the province over permanent daylight time, check the clock twice before you head to Commonwealth for Begonia.
